Sexual Assault Awareness 2026 (Triger warning)

Image
The topic of sexual assault (SA) is a very sensitive and triggering topic, especially if one has been a victim of it. In this post I want to talk about not only SA, but the after affects that come with it after.  Let's talk about SA or sexual assault.....this is the kind of abuse that many people, mostly girls and women, face daily. Don't be fooled by the gender..boys and men also suffer from SA. According the Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network (RAINN), 54% of those who are SA'd are  between the ages of 18-24. However, children are the most to be victims.  In fact, Child Protective Service (CPS) found that 63,000 children we SA'd between the years 2009 and 2013. Roughly, 1 in 6 women in the US have been SA'd within her life. 1 in 33 men in the US have been SA'd in his lifetime. 82% of those SA'd are under the age of 18, while 90% are adult women. 10% of SA victims are also male.  Based on this information, both women and men experience SA, but not ...

Reviewing Jeffree Star Cosmetics Night Owl Collection

Image
Disclaimer: I bought these items with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with Jeffree Starr Cosmetics.  How sticking cute is this collection?! Both of these together cost me, including tax and shipping, around  $84. (It is worth it though and you'll see how pigmented this it is!)  Let's star with the the lip glosses. I bought  all 3 shades! The shades are: Pink Robe, Body Chills & Voyeurism. My favourite? Voyeurism ! The are plumping lip glosses. When I first applied , it did sting my lips a little as if they were dry, but I love the colour and formula. (All of Jeffree Star Cosmetics are vegan & cruelty free!!!!!)  Let's review the amazing eyeshadow palette!!! OMG! This palette though! I LOVE it!!!! It has a mixture of warm and cool tones too! (I always love a good palette with both tones.) Shades include: Snow Magic, Headlights, Caffeine Diamonds, Silent Glide, Night Owl, Insomnia, Pine Shadows, Duskwatcher, Twilight Moss, Satellite Truth,...

Reviewing Blue Mermaid Memories by Amanda Casey

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this book with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with this author.  Can I just say I immediately fell in love with this book the moment I first saw it on TikTok?! I got this as it reminded me of my childhood home. Ms. Casey did an amazing job with this book. It even has illustrations too!  Here's a little blurb from Goodreads about the book: A forbidden art. An extinct cure. A forgotten treasure. Selia Fontaine has cataloged Ancient Egyptian artifacts at the Louvre for as long as she can remember. Working with objects from the past only highlights the fact that she can’t remember her own. Blue memory blindness has plagued her sea nymph memory along with any hope for a cure. She has spent the past decade of her life working in introverted silence—except for the mysterious artifact that has started whispering to her. When a sea sorceress invites Selia to learn about the forgotten art of salt trance, she travels to the Celtic Sea to concoct a c...

A New LGBTQ+ Dating App? Reviewing Taimi

Image
Disclaimer: This is 100%  my own opinion. I am not an affiliate with Taimi.  So, I started using this app last year when I was looking for a 3rd ( if you poly, you should know what I mean). I've been on this app 3 times (once for my drag king). I can honestly say...while this app does have some perks....it's not really for me.  I started to notice that a lot of people were not very interested in me...there were times where I thought I'd found a 3rd ( if you're poly, you know), but it didn't work out. I recently went back to Taimi to find some "friends", but again...that didn't work out..... So, I decided to get off the app all together. Honestly, some find love through a dating app and some don't and that's okay.  If you found love through an app, what was your experience?

Cute & Dreamy?!- Reviewing CoraCreaCrafts Dreamscape Box

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this item with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with CoraCreaCrafts.  You can purchase this box here:  https://coracreacrafts.com/products/curiosities-box-subscription?_pos=1&_psq=Curi&_ss=e&_v=1.0 This box is the bimonthly Curiosities box from CoraCreaCrafts. For this theme, it's called Dreamscape .  This box came with all that you see in the photo. For an example spread, here's what I made:  I did this to honour my childhood home. I thought this was the perfect use for this box. While I had a lot of pros for this box, there are some cons.  I had a hard time with the clouds tape, just as I did with the Celtic Knots washi tape...it kept tearing when I didn't want it to and it was hard to get it back into its shape. Back to the pros of this box, I LOVE how some of it came with beachy items. (Such as the seashell stickers).  My favourite item in this box has to be the collage sticker pack! I love the packaging ...

A Blast From The Past!- Reviewing CoraCreaCrafts The New Look Vintage Box

Image
Disclaimer; I bought this box with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with CoraCreaCrafts. If you did not see my review of the Celtic Box, Please click here:  https://abigailelizabethauthor.blogspot.com/2026/01/a-cute-junk-journal-supply-company.html This box was a little different, but was in my budget. This box is inspired by fashion from the 1950s & 1960s! This came with some cute washi tape, paper and more! Let's just say....I've already started creating with this box.  I..uhh....went a little overboard with this spread, but that's the thing with junk journal...you're allowed to go crazy! Anyway, I LOVE this theme! Although it's the 50's and 60's, it's still amazing. I love the colours and aesthetic.  I like to give this box a7/10; although this does have some good high quality items. It's just not the aesthetic I'd get again.  If you received this box, what was your favourite item? What kind of things did you create? *this box i...
