Diaspi Beauty "After Hours" Lip Gloss Review

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this item with my own money. I am NOT being sponsored nor am I an affiliate with Diaspi Beauty. Diaspi Beauty is a healthcare professional owned small business that sells hydrating lip glosses for healthcare workers! (In this case, I SUPPORT them). I LOVE the colour (if you know, you know ;)) One thing I will say about this lip gloss is that it's very hydrating and non sticky.  Swatch of After Hours This gives off a very bold red shade, which I love (again, if you know you know). The tube it's in is very cute! Love the pill shaped tube. Just wished it had the shade name on the tube so that it'd be easier to identify. Other than that, I'd give this a 9/10.  You can get this product here & support our healthcare workers!  https://diaspibeauty.com/collections/on-call-gloss/products/on-call-gloss-new-color-1

Grey's Anatomy Season 1 Review

Image
Disclaimer: This is my OWN OPINION on this season of Grey's.  After years of hearing this show is amazing (and being the huge medical nerd I am), I finally had the chance to watch Grey's Anatomy! I ended up beginning with season 19; when the new interns arrived, but I wanted to see how those new interns came to be.  How come no one told me this show was going to be good?! When I watched the very first episode, I was HOOKED! Like, what?!  I'm not going to mention any spoilers here in case someone hasn't seen the show. I do want to point out that this is the BEST medical show ever made. (And less triggering might I add). So, this season begins with Meredith Grey ( the daughter of Ellis Grey) and her class on the path of becoming surgeons. I'd say my favourite episode from this season is A Hard Day's Night . (Yes the very first episode).  I give this season a 10/10! It was a really good season and really captured my attention and is now my comfort show!

How & What Inspired Abigail's Creek Book Stop (My Small Biz!)

Image
The book The Coven   by Harper L Woods; available at ACBS Legal Disclaimer: I do NOT have my LLC yet. I'm waiting for the right time ( and to be financially stable) to get one.  Welcome to Abigail's Creek Book Stop, formally known as Tiffany's Spiritual Palace that was first known as Christian Mystic Market. (Damn, that's a mouthful.) I never talked about my small business when I had a blog back in the day, so I thought I'd talk about it here!  I knew from the age of 16, when I was an Avon rep, I wanted to be an independent business person. I did odd jobs until October 2020 when I landed a job at Spencer Gifts (now known as Spencer's but it'll always be known as Spencer Gifts to me) during the COVID pandemic!   It was during the holiday season that year was when I started a little business called Christian Mystic Market. Now, at the time, I was deep into the "evangelical Christian" world. So, Jesus was all I ever talked about. However, it wasn...

A Nostalgic Collab?! Reviewing Wet N Wild x Spongebob Collection!

Image
Disclaimer: I bought these products with my own money . I am NOT an affiliate nor am I being sponsored by Wet N Wild.  This was the first collab I've bought from Wet N Wild in 2 years. (I last bought their Care Bears collab.) If you would like to see the video of this post, you can here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpEYSKuUVks. While I couldn't get my hands on the entire collection, I was able to get some good stuff! Here's all of what I bought: -Kelp Shake setting mist -Cooling loose setting powder -Waterproof mascara in A Wave of Fun -Cooling glitter stick -F.U.N eye & face palette -Gal Pals eye & face palette Now, I have never heard of a "cooling" stick or even a cooling powder, so I knew I had to try and review. All these items we good, but my favourite was the cooling glitter stick! Once I applied it, it gave off this instant cooling affect right onto my cheek bones!  Overall, I give this collection roughly a 8/10; this collection could used a l...

Missing Home? Here's How To Cope

Image
Homesickness is a real & valid feeling. We move on; either by force or by choice. In my case, it was by force. This is a photo of my childhood home; my best friend, my freedom, my foundation. In the most recent days, I found myself longing for home and becoming homesick. While I may not be able to go back home, I can rely on things that remind me of home. (You can view that YouTube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n661O_HfFB4&ab_channel=TiffanyA.Riley-Dameron).  If you are feeling homesick, here's what you can do: Gather things that remind you of your home. This could be wind chimes, little decor stuff, and even simple foods.  Journal. Writing is a good way to talk about your home. How did it feel? What was the environment like? You can write poetry, a book or even a short story! Talk. Being homesick is normal, however, talking with a professional is recommended, especially to help you get through the feelings of loneliness.  You are not al...
