Sexual Assault Awareness 2026 (Triger warning)

Image
The topic of sexual assault (SA) is a very sensitive and triggering topic, especially if one has been a victim of it. In this post I want to talk about not only SA, but the after affects that come with it after.  Let's talk about SA or sexual assault.....this is the kind of abuse that many people, mostly girls and women, face daily. Don't be fooled by the gender..boys and men also suffer from SA. According the Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network (RAINN), 54% of those who are SA'd are  between the ages of 18-24. However, children are the most to be victims.  In fact, Child Protective Service (CPS) found that 63,000 children we SA'd between the years 2009 and 2013. Roughly, 1 in 6 women in the US have been SA'd within her life. 1 in 33 men in the US have been SA'd in his lifetime. 82% of those SA'd are under the age of 18, while 90% are adult women. 10% of SA victims are also male.  Based on this information, both women and men experience SA, but not ...

Reviewing Jeffree Star Cosmetics Night Owl Collection

Image
Disclaimer: I bought these items with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with Jeffree Starr Cosmetics.  How sticking cute is this collection?! Both of these together cost me, including tax and shipping, around  $84. (It is worth it though and you'll see how pigmented this it is!)  Let's star with the the lip glosses. I bought  all 3 shades! The shades are: Pink Robe, Body Chills & Voyeurism. My favourite? Voyeurism ! The are plumping lip glosses. When I first applied , it did sting my lips a little as if they were dry, but I love the colour and formula. (All of Jeffree Star Cosmetics are vegan & cruelty free!!!!!)  Let's review the amazing eyeshadow palette!!! OMG! This palette though! I LOVE it!!!! It has a mixture of warm and cool tones too! (I always love a good palette with both tones.) Shades include: Snow Magic, Headlights, Caffeine Diamonds, Silent Glide, Night Owl, Insomnia, Pine Shadows, Duskwatcher, Twilight Moss, Satellite Truth,...

Reviewing Blue Mermaid Memories by Amanda Casey

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this book with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with this author.  Can I just say I immediately fell in love with this book the moment I first saw it on TikTok?! I got this as it reminded me of my childhood home. Ms. Casey did an amazing job with this book. It even has illustrations too!  Here's a little blurb from Goodreads about the book: A forbidden art. An extinct cure. A forgotten treasure. Selia Fontaine has cataloged Ancient Egyptian artifacts at the Louvre for as long as she can remember. Working with objects from the past only highlights the fact that she can’t remember her own. Blue memory blindness has plagued her sea nymph memory along with any hope for a cure. She has spent the past decade of her life working in introverted silence—except for the mysterious artifact that has started whispering to her. When a sea sorceress invites Selia to learn about the forgotten art of salt trance, she travels to the Celtic Sea to concoct a c...

A New LGBTQ+ Dating App? Reviewing Taimi

Image
Disclaimer: This is 100%  my own opinion. I am not an affiliate with Taimi.  So, I started using this app last year when I was looking for a 3rd ( if you poly, you should know what I mean). I've been on this app 3 times (once for my drag king). I can honestly say...while this app does have some perks....it's not really for me.  I started to notice that a lot of people were not very interested in me...there were times where I thought I'd found a 3rd ( if you're poly, you know), but it didn't work out. I recently went back to Taimi to find some "friends", but again...that didn't work out..... So, I decided to get off the app all together. Honestly, some find love through a dating app and some don't and that's okay.  If you found love through an app, what was your experience?

Cute & Dreamy?!- Reviewing CoraCreaCrafts Dreamscape Box

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this item with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with CoraCreaCrafts.  You can purchase this box here:  https://coracreacrafts.com/products/curiosities-box-subscription?_pos=1&_psq=Curi&_ss=e&_v=1.0 This box is the bimonthly Curiosities box from CoraCreaCrafts. For this theme, it's called Dreamscape .  This box came with all that you see in the photo. For an example spread, here's what I made:  I did this to honour my childhood home. I thought this was the perfect use for this box. While I had a lot of pros for this box, there are some cons.  I had a hard time with the clouds tape, just as I did with the Celtic Knots washi tape...it kept tearing when I didn't want it to and it was hard to get it back into its shape. Back to the pros of this box, I LOVE how some of it came with beachy items. (Such as the seashell stickers).  My favourite item in this box has to be the collage sticker pack! I love the packaging ...

A Blast From The Past!- Reviewing CoraCreaCrafts The New Look Vintage Box

Image
Disclaimer; I bought this box with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with CoraCreaCrafts. If you did not see my review of the Celtic Box, Please click here:  https://abigailelizabethauthor.blogspot.com/2026/01/a-cute-junk-journal-supply-company.html This box was a little different, but was in my budget. This box is inspired by fashion from the 1950s & 1960s! This came with some cute washi tape, paper and more! Let's just say....I've already started creating with this box.  I..uhh....went a little overboard with this spread, but that's the thing with junk journal...you're allowed to go crazy! Anyway, I LOVE this theme! Although it's the 50's and 60's, it's still amazing. I love the colours and aesthetic.  I like to give this box a7/10; although this does have some good high quality items. It's just not the aesthetic I'd get again.  If you received this box, what was your favourite item? What kind of things did you create? *this box i...

A Cute Junk Journal Supply Company?!- Review CoraCreaCrafts Celtic Box

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this item with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate with CoraCreaCrafts.  I recently got back into junk journaling and this company was   my answered call! I saw them on Instagram and had to try them. Needless to say, I'm now HOOKED! These supplies are HIGH QUALITY! Now, I bought their Celtic Treasure Box. (They have 3 other boxes, but I'll get into those later.)  This box included a card:  You can see what the Celtic box includes: like a beautiful journal, a sticker/paper book and so much more. This box is still available! (https://coracreacrafts.com/products/treasure-craft-supplies-box-bimonthly-subscription?_pos=1&_sid=a3e6fa867&_ss=r)  With all the goodies inside, I give this box a 100/10!!!!! Easy, Accessible & Nice?! Reviewing Rare Beauty's Find Comfort Hydrating Hand Cream

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this item with my own money. I am NOT an affiliate with Rare Beauty.  You can purchase this item here:  https://www.rarebeauty.com/products/find-comfort-hydrating-hand-cream  Let me just start by saying this packaging is so cute! I love it fits in the palm of your hand! It's also accessible, meaning that it's easy to use. Although I had a bit of trouble opening it, the texture and scent was amazing. It wasn't sticky, greasy or strong.  This item gave a really sweet comforting smell. Not to mention it also relaxes you too! This makes my hands very soft and smooth. It's a tad bit hard to open and you have to squeeze the product out. However, the tip makes a good massager for your hands.  I give this a 8/10.

Kikiz Cosmeticz Taylor Swift Swiftie September 2024 Collection Review

Image
Disclaimer: I bought these items with my own money. I am NOT an affiliate nor am I being sponsored by Kikiz Cosmeticz.  I bought these lip glosses last year and I did a video review on them too! Swatches of Taylor Swift, Speak Now & evermore I only bought 3 out of the 11 (at the time) as I was on a budget, however, I still loved these glosses. Not only were they non sticky, but they were super hydrating and moisturizing! My favourite was Speak Now (of course).  However, I do feel like they're sticky....but hydrating. I do LOVE the colours! (Purple happens to be my favourite colour.) The scents were amazing! (I gave evermore   to my mom because she loves what I call grounding shades.)  All in all I'd rate this collection from last year a 7/10.  These glosses are no longer on Kikiz Cosmeticz website. They were only limited time.

Profusion x Harry Potter Collab Review-Lip Oils

Image
Disclaimer: I bought these with my own money. I am in no way an affiliate nor being sponsored by Profusion Cosmetics.  For the first time in years, I get to review a collab here on my website. I originally wanted the advent calender, however, my local Walgreens was sold out; so I opted to get these lip oils. (The Gryffindor was sold out...sorry about that).  First, let's start with Slytherin!!!! I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit disappointed with  the shade. The shimmer li oil was a bit light, but it is real goo for the date nights. As for the nourishing lip oil, it has this perfect hint of light green and very moisturizing.  Onto my previous house, Ravenclaw. This one might be my FAVOURITE one out of all. The shimmer lip oil for this is giving...midnights vibes. The nourishing lip oil was just a plain jane blue, but it was pretty.  Swatches of the Shimmer Lip Oils Finally, Hufflepuff! The shimmer lip oil was giving Fearless (Taylor's Version) vibes. I LOVE ...

With You At Last Book Review

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this book with my own money. I am NOT an affiliate nor am I being sponsored by this author. OMG, this book!!!!!!! I never thought I liked romances as much as I did, but oooo!!!!!! This book takes the cake! I can honestly relate to both the characters as I feel like this relates to me and my best friend. (Hence why I got this book.)    The fact that this book is about someone coming back into someone's life when they are terminally ill, kind of turns me off....although, I like how Kate responded to Jon. (No one should ever have to suffer from an illness to find love...)  I HIGHLY recommend this book if you love romances. You can get this book here: https://books2read.com/u/m2E0X6 or on K.M's tiktok page!  Overall: 10/10!!!!

My FIRST LGBTQ+ Book!!!!!

Image
I know, I know "when are you going to publish book one of Beyond The Shadows Abi?" I'm working on that, promise.  A childhood crush recently came back to me and I always wanted to write an LGBTQ+ book. Due to being raised evangentical Christian, I was ever allowed to. I kind of always knew I wasn't "straight"....I knew I was different, just didn't know how different.  When I was in kindergarten, I had this crush on a girl (whom still doesn't really know I exist) and I was apparently bullied by her. (Still don't know why...) This feeling came up recently and it just grew. As someone who's ace/queer/polyromantic & nonbinary, I was debating on writing an LGTQ+ novel. Here it is! My first LGBTQ+ novel; inspired by my childhood girl crush. Not only does this book have tons of queer love, but also has polyamory and trust too. This novel will be available soon!  What are your thoughts about this novel?

Pre Order My Noevl(la) Now! (Well, Soon)

Image
I'm super excited to announce that I have FINALLY finished book one of Beyond The Shadows is done! Right now, I'm just searching for  the right indie publisher.  I began writing this book a the beginning of 2024. At the time, my late father was in hospice. As I was caring for him full time, my childhood home began to make her appearance. Upon my late father's passing, I decided to visit my childhood home and it was there where she began to speak to me.  As she spoke, words were written in a blank, lined notebook and a pen. She told me most of what had happened. As I wrote what she spoke, things started to become clear to me...what had happened to me also had happened to her. Here is the synopsis of this book: Most of her life, Abigail was defined by a number: 212, a house. A money making thing. Now after reuniting with her best friend and 10 year medic, she's finally ready to tell all. This is her story. Welcome. Let me take you....beyond the shadows.  Pre ord...

Is Lil Tay Wrong?! My Opinion On Lil Tay's Outburst

Image
This photo is from Us Weekly. All rights go to them & Lil Tay. As you can probably notice by the title, we are going to be talk about Lil Tay. Now, just who is Lil Tay? Lil Tay is an Canadian-American rapper, known for her angry outbursts and showing off her thousands of dollars.  She recently made headlines about being the youngest OnlyFans model to make $1 million in 24 hours. (Yes, you heard me right.) However, she's going off about how women who work 9-5s after 25 (or even before) are quote "failures". She even said that going to college or university is a "failure."  Okay, as someone who worked a 9-5 and is currently teaching themselves medicine I have to say Lil Tay is 100% in the wrong about this. For one, she's only 18; yes she's legally an adult, but until you are in your 20s, 18 is still considered a teen. Lil Tay has NOT experienced a FULL adult life yet.  Second, working a 9-5 gains work and business experience. From October 2020 until ...

Grey's Anatomy Season 2 Review

Image
Disclaimer: This is my OWN OPINION on this season of Grey's.  First off, Grey's Anatomy is my ULTIMATE comfort show! (I'm a medical nerd so yeah). I know, I know. Where's my review of season 1...(it's coming. That's the first thing I started when I began to watch season 19).  So, this season had a few shockers in it, not going to say as again I don't want to spoil it if you haven't seen the show. This season starts off where season one last began.  I noticed towards the end of the season that there were some new residents.  This season has 27 episodes and I'd say my favourite would probably be Losing My Religion .  Overall rating: 8/10

My FIRST Novel BEFORE My First novel?!

Image
Yes, I know what you are thinking..."how are you already writing book 4 to this series and yet you haven't even published book one?" Well, I decided that this book may be more needed than book one. Trying not to spoil this book, this has a little bit of a trigger as it does mention illnesses, such as Long COVID.  This book came while my ever declining health decided to well, decline....this means that my mental health decided to take a slight decline too. However, I did NOT want to harm myself...so what was I going to do? Write about my pain!  That's where this book comes in. Although it may be released BEFORE book one of the Beyond The Shadows series (and that I'm scared to write), there is someone who may need to read it. I will announce the release date once it's finished.  If you or someone you know is in crisis, there is help. Call or text 988 for the Suicide Prevention lifeline or go to your nearest ER.  this is the song/I'm too scared to write/but...

Diaspi Beauty "After Hours" Lip Gloss Review

Image
Disclaimer: I bought this item with my own money. I am NOT being sponsored nor am I an affiliate with Diaspi Beauty. Diaspi Beauty is a healthcare professional owned small business that sells hydrating lip glosses for healthcare workers! (In this case, I SUPPORT them). I LOVE the colour (if you know, you know ;)) One thing I will say about this lip gloss is that it's very hydrating and non sticky.  Swatch of After Hours This gives off a very bold red shade, which I love (again, if you know you know). The tube it's in is very cute! Love the pill shaped tube. Just wished it had the shade name on the tube so that it'd be easier to identify. Other than that, I'd give this a 9/10.  You can get this product here & support our healthcare workers!  https://diaspibeauty.com/collections/on-call-gloss/products/on-call-gloss-new-color-1

Grey's Anatomy Season 1 Review

Image
Disclaimer: This is my OWN OPINION on this season of Grey's.  After years of hearing this show is amazing (and being the huge medical nerd I am), I finally had the chance to watch Grey's Anatomy! I ended up beginning with season 19; when the new interns arrived, but I wanted to see how those new interns came to be.  How come no one told me this show was going to be good?! When I watched the very first episode, I was HOOKED! Like, what?!  I'm not going to mention any spoilers here in case someone hasn't seen the show. I do want to point out that this is the BEST medical show ever made. (And less triggering might I add). So, this season begins with Meredith Grey ( the daughter of Ellis Grey) and her class on the path of becoming surgeons. I'd say my favourite episode from this season is A Hard Day's Night . (Yes the very first episode).  I give this season a 10/10! It was a really good season and really captured my attention and is now my comfort show!

How & What Inspired Abigail's Creek Book Stop (My Small Biz!)

Image
The book The Coven   by Harper L Woods; available at ACBS Legal Disclaimer: I do NOT have my LLC yet. I'm waiting for the right time ( and to be financially stable) to get one.  Welcome to Abigail's Creek Book Stop, formally known as Tiffany's Spiritual Palace that was first known as Christian Mystic Market. (Damn, that's a mouthful.) I never talked about my small business when I had a blog back in the day, so I thought I'd talk about it here!  I knew from the age of 16, when I was an Avon rep, I wanted to be an independent business person. I did odd jobs until October 2020 when I landed a job at Spencer Gifts (now known as Spencer's but it'll always be known as Spencer Gifts to me) during the COVID pandemic!   It was during the holiday season that year was when I started a little business called Christian Mystic Market. Now, at the time, I was deep into the "evangelical Christian" world. So, Jesus was all I ever talked about. However, it wasn...
